McClenney Facility Update

Good morning, McClenney community,

We are sharing a quick update on our ongoing efforts inside the Frances McClenney building.

Facilities Update:

  • RPS had a licensed mold remediation specialist from Southern Environmental conduct an initial assessment of the building.

  • Based on their professional recommendations, a targeted course of cleaning and specialized remediation is scheduled to begin tomorrow (Friday, August 28).

  • We remain unclear at this time whether or not what was surfaced was mold, but we will have clearer answers following the air quality tests. 

  • Comprehensive air quality testing will take place immediately following the cleaning process. We will share the official results with the community.

All impacted students and staff remain temporarily moved to other classrooms until we have confirmation of clear air quality testing.
