  • Family Learning Events – at least two per year (fall & spring) with strategies to support learning at home.

  • Flexible Meetings – conferences and events held after school, with childcare or interpreters available when needed.

  • Regular Updates – progress reports, teacher communication, and curriculum information shared throughout the year.

  • Regular Updates – progress reports, teacher communication, and curriculum information shared throughout the year.

How Families Can Be Involved

  • Join the Parent Leadership Council.

  • Share feedback at family events or through surveys.

  • Attend conferences, workshops, and school events.

  • Review and comment on the schoolwide plan (posted online each year).

  • Volunteer or observe in classrooms (as available).

Our Shared Responsibilities

  • Teachers & Staff: Provide high-quality instruction and keep families informed.

  • Families: Support learning at home and communicate regularly with teachers.

  • Students: Work hard, follow the school compact, and take ownership of learning.

This plan is effective for the 2025–2026 school year and will be shared with all families by October 1, 2025.

Together, we can help every student at Frances W. McClenney Elementary reach their full potential!
